Looking back at the original 2013 launch and the simple principles that still matter when joining an adult community in Tokyo.

This is the original Tokyo Swingers launch article, first published in October 2013. It welcomed people to a new community and promised more features over time. We keep that history while making this page a useful introduction for people discovering the site today.
A community is built through participation
A website can provide profiles, discussions and ways to get in touch, but people shape the experience. Thoughtful introductions and respect for different boundaries matter more than promises about who you might meet. Treat each person as an individual and take time to understand what they are looking for.

Find a place to begin
The journal introduces community topics and practical guidance. Groups help organize conversations around shared interests. The events section contains listings whose dates, organizers and booking terms should be checked individually. An old listing or launch announcement is not proof that an event is currently running.
Use current information
Website features and membership terms can change. Follow the current navigation and read the details presented when you register, reserve a place or request a service. Archived articles provide context, not a promise that every feature once discussed is available now.
Welcome, at your own pace
Start by reading, ask a question when you feel ready and choose what you share. You do not need to rush into an introduction or an in-person meeting. Read our getting-started guide for registration and privacy considerations.
If a link is broken or information is unclear, tell the team which page you visited and what you expected to find. Please do not include passwords or another member's private information.
